Academy of Champions ~ Coming Soon!
I am excited to share all the work I did on Academy of Champions since I joined Ubisoft Vancouver (formerly Action Pants Inc.) last year. The game will be on shelves this September, so please come back for detailed screenshots and renders of my work after the ship date. Check out the official website for the game trailer and press releases.

Facebreaker ~ Modeling, Texturing and Lighting
Facebreaker shipped on Sept. 5th, 2008. It is a new franchise for EA which I was lucky enough to contribute to during pre-production and early production before I left for maternity leave. I modeled and textured props and backgrounds for 2 environments and I also lit an early environment. Check out the official website.

Here is an example of one of the props, textured and displaying the Lightmap UVs. The chair UVs were organized into clean shells so they could easily be copied and arranged into Lightmap UVs. We relied on occlusion maps for adding edge details and contact shadows, and we created spec maps and normal maps on particular items that needed the extra surface details.

With Lighting...
I modeled and textured props for the custom car garage. I also worked on the initial lighting pass. The environments for Facebreaker were all lit entirely with lightmaps.

Fifa Street 2 ~ 3D Lighting
Fifa Street 2 was released in February 2006. I had the opportunity to light 3 outdoor environments for the game.

NBA Live 2005 ~3D Modeling
During this project, I led a team of 3 environment artists, 2 lighters and managed outsourced assets. It was an aggressive development cycle where we created all 29 stadiums from scratch for a new render engine while switching software packages from Maya to XSI.

Student Film - "Lesson in G Minor"
In 2001, I completed an animated short called "Lesson in G Minor". I modeled, textured, lit and animated the 4 minute film in 3D Studio Max. The film gained some international success when it was screened in film festivals around the world, such as Berlin, Brussels, Palm Springs and Ottawa. I also received the New Mic award at Emily Carr for artistic innovation.
